Most of Chris Hamilton's professional time is spent in the areas of business valuations, fraud, forensic accounting and litigation related engagements. He has served as an expert in civil, criminal, probate and family court matters, and he is an Appointed Court Economic Expert in Ventura County Superior and Municipal courts.
Experience
Mr. Hamilton gained experience in the accounting field even before graduating, working five years for a local firm. Upon graduating in 1985 he continued work with the same firm and then eventually moved to private industry, taking the position of a Division Controller and then an Operations Manager. He subsequently moved back into public accounting in 1989 and formed what is now known as Arxis Financial in 1991.

Chris Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Valuation Analyst, and a Diplomate with the American Board of Forensic Accounting. He is a licensed life and disability insurance agent and a General Securities Representative.

Mr. Hamilton has published articles on a variety of topics in several publications including "The Forensic Examiner," "Los Angeles Lawyer," "The Valuation Examiner," "Valuation Strategies" and the "Journal of Forensic Accounting."
He has presented courses at national conferences, training institutes and seminars on topics including fraud, business appraisal, and forensic accounting. He is also part of the team teaching the Advanced Business Valuation courses around the country for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is regularly asked by civic and business groups to speak on a variety of topics related to his experience and expertise.
The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) has recognized Mr. Hamilton as an "Instructor of Exceptional Distinction" in 2004 and 2005 and he was awarded the 2005 "Instructor of the Year" award. He is regularly asked by civic and business groups to speak on a variety of topics related to his experience and expertise.
