We're writing today with an important announcement about an upcoming name change to Hamilton, Boynton & Associates (HBA). Effective July 1, HBA will be called Arxis Financial, Inc. Now, many of you may know that a name change is a costly and time consuming endeavor. Switching all the billboards, bus stop signs, and sandwich boards around town is not easy. Nevertheless, we felt it was an important step to take for the future of our firm. To provide greater insight as to why we chose "Arxis," we present our Top 10 reasons:

10. Arthur Anderson was already taken.
9. It's worth a lot in Scrabble.
8. Didn't want the marketing guy to be bored with his job.
7. Rolls off the tongue easier than Four Dudes from Simi Valley & Associates.
6. Lost a bet.
5. It's the Latin word for "citadel"; the Latin term for "brick wall" didn't sound as pretty.
4. Chris Boynton needed an excuse to install a catapult on the roof of the building. (Caution: watch for large, flying wooden rabbits when you visit. To get a visual,

3. Latin = mother of all romance languages; Arxis Financial = mother of all CPA firms.
2. Better placement in the phone book - maybe we should have gone with Aaarxis?
1. You put four CPAs in a stuffy room for an entire morning and what would you expect?

In all seriousness, we believe the name change will provide greater continuity and a more unified brand among our various entities, including Arxis Wealth Management. All of our partners and staff will remain the same along with our location and contact information. The only change is the firm name. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your CPA.
