One of our readers named Corey sent us this news gem the other day.

Joe Hachem, father-of-four and resident of Melbourne, Australia, won $7.5 million in the World Series of Poker and didn't pay a dime in taxes. Under Australian tax law, his winnings are exempt from taxes because poker was a hobby, not a career!

As the great Yakov Smirnoff says, "What a country!" Between this tax law and the duck-billed platypus, we're thinking Australia's a good place to visit.

(As a side note, Corey immediately tried to use this story as an excuse to play more poker with the boys. His wife promptly laughed and told him to get back to the dishes.)
