There is an old Bulgarian proverb that says, "Seize the opportunity by the beard, for it is bald behind." We have absolutely no idea what that means, but never want miss the chance to introduce the wit and wisdom of our Bulgarian friends to our faithful readers.

And, speaking of Bulgaria, that's a perfect segue to remind you about the opportunity that is yours to complete your organizer and contact your CPA about getting your taxes completed.
 
Anyway, as you prepare, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. If you purchased a new home for the first time last year, don't forget to include the HUD1 form in your preparation packet.
2. Remember to include your property tax statement (even if you don't itemize).
3. You don't have to wait until April 13th to start. In the words of the famous Bulgarian philosopher, Mark Twain, "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow."
