Happy New Year to all of our faithful readers! We recognize 2009 was a difficult year with a challenging economy, the swine flu, Jon & Kate's divorce, and infrequent tax newsletters to lift your spirits.

We've got great expectations for 2010. (That's twenty-ten, for the record.) The economy is looking up, the media seems to have lost interest in the swine flu, there's one less reality show on TV, and we are committed to sending more frequent drops of sunshine.

According to the US government's website, the #1 resolution for the new year is to "lose weight." This is followed by "manage debt" and "save money." Would you believe that number four is to "look for my tax organizer from my CPA, complete it promptly, and return it well before the tax deadline"? You're right, that's not true. The real #4 is to "get a better job."

But speaking of organizers, we will be sending them in the next two - three weeks.  So be on the lookout, and don't be afraid to complete it promptly and return it to your CPA well ahead of the tax deadline.
